Assessment of daily functioning (EKOPFO)
EKOPFO stands for the expert teams assessing a person’s daily functioning. Since 1 January 2025 they have replaced the medical and social expert commissions (MSEC). Multidisciplinary teams of doctors assess how a person’s health affects their daily life and, based on the results, determine the disability group, the degree of lost working capacity, and the need for permanent care and assistive rehabilitation devices. The referral for an assessment is issued by the attending doctor in the electronic system. The procedure is set by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1338 of 15.11.2024.
Expert teams assessing a person’s daily functioning (EKOPFO) work at our hospital at 85 Yevropeiska St., Kharkiv. They carry out an objective assessment of a person’s health and determine their level of daily functioning. Modern digital technologies have made the assessment more convenient and efficient for patients and shortened the time it takes.
The expert teams were formed under the Order.
The EKOPFO unit is staffed by qualified specialists who ensure a professional approach, compliance with current legislation and comfortable conditions for visitors. The unit supports citizens who need an assessment of their functional status and works to improve the quality of medical and social services.
